A quiet unassuming warehouse where they make Friday’s Cookies.

Some of the Staff that make our Friday’s Cookies.
Some of you have heard the story about Friday’s Cookies. Deborah Tuggle was making these wonderful cookies for friends at the office on Fridays. Then she decided the heck with work and started making cookies. Several years later, she makes thousands of cookies each week. They even talk about her on TV. So….If you haven’t tried Friday’s Cookies….You might want to think about it. Mnfph-rhtj nnwretr….Sorry! That was me with a mouthful of the “Olympic”…. Cranberries, White chocolate, sweet coconut mingled lightly together in this tasty oatmeal cookie. I can’t go there very often! I can’t stop!
Well, for anyone close to my office…Keller Williams Realty, 615 E. Pioneer in Puyallup, We are having a Halloween Party today from 11:00-2:00. Yes…we are having Friday’s Cookies. You better hurry!!! These won’t last very long!!
I won’t be selling you any Real Estate today, because I’ll be full of cookies.
But: I’ll be her to answer any questions about the cookies or homes and the market.
Find Friday’s Cookies on the Web at: www.fridayscookies.com

Pierce County has a great project they are working on. Military Road at 136th Street E., then turn onto 122nd Ave. E. There’s a lot of traffic mess there. Always has been. The more homes they build, the more cars want to go that way. Well, the traffic is now going to be routed through the field(that used to be there), then up to 136th. I wonder who owned that Real Estate that the County bought to put the road in??
Now it will be a traffic light, 4 way intersection. 136th and 122nd. I believe it will make it a lot better, easier, faster for commuters.
I wonder if they could also put a light at Reservoir Road and Military Road?? Would that make it even better??
I invite any comments….Is there a better way???

Eijiro Kawada, of The News Tribune, has reported that Puyallup’s City Manager, Jim Bacon, may be leaving. This, apparantly, has created quite a controversy regarding the money he’ll be taking with him.
Above….a picture of downtown.
I urge you to read his entire article.
You can read it at: theNewsTibune.com
This is something we should all know, at least a little bit, about.
Thank you for your attention. Dennis Endres

You may have heard of Andy Barker. Owner of Barker’s Barn and Andy’s Classic Auto Parts at 4715 Pioneer Way E. It’s either Tacoma or Puyallup, Washington, depending on who you ask. Andy and his relatives have owned this piece of real estate for a bunch of years. Now that’s keeping property in the family! So, here’s the story. As I drive by his shop, I see this car. The one pictured above. It looks a little out of the ordinary. It’s got the front of a 47 Plymouth on one end and the front of a 48 Plymouth on the other end.
Too many questions are running through my head….so I have to stop and talk to the owner. I meet this man. His name is “Barker” or “Andy”, whichever. He answers to both.
He tells me about the car. It’s been on TV, in the movies and on Evening Magazine. I got a lot of information in a few minutes. This very pleasant man runs the Classic Auto Parts store.
The moral of the story is: If you can’t find parts for your CLASSIC…..Call Barker!!!
You will usually find him at the store or call him at 253 922-7673.
The store is at 4715 Pioneer Way, Puyallup, Washington.
While you’re there, ask him about his unusual Chevy pickup across the street.

They said they would do it and now they are. The shortcut from East Pioneer across the fields to East Main. Those people who need to get from Shaw Rd to Sumner or SR410/SR167….You can finally see it happening. Yes!! The bad news?? It’ll be November 2010 before it’s done. Now there is a lot of Real Estate between those two roads! Lots of views of the flower fields and Mt. Rainier. Does that mean more commercial properties along that stretch of road?? Coffee shops, tanning beds, gas stations, etc.?? I don’t know, but it’s going to be fun to watch over the next 3 years. One of the pictures is taken from the Pioneer Ave. side, the other one from the E. Main St. side.
Keep tuned to this site………….I’ll keep you updated when I find out!!

Yes, Folks it’s that time of the year again! Flu season is here. One of my friends has been in bed for over a week with this nasty bug. Yech!
I just got a Press Release from Good Samaritan Hospital. Their Mobile Health Service Bus is out and about to give shots to those who need/want. If you’ve ever had the flu and think this flu shot may stop you from getting it……….You and I know we’d probably pay anything to get it!!! Well, it’s not that expensive. It’s only $25.00. Even cheaper if you qualify!!
The times, dates, and locations of the bus are on the Hospital’s website:
www.goodsamhealth.org
Scroll down to the immunization link and you’ll find where they are.
I’ve included a press release and a picture of the bus, so you’ll recognize it when you get there.
Good luck and may we not get Sick!!!!

Yes folks…..The time is coming to adjust our clocks. We can do a little bit of time travel.
Go back an hour in time. Is it far enough back that we can fix a mistake(like we see on TV)? We can live one hour over again! What shall we do? Can we collect and save our minutes(like some cell phone people suggest)? Do we go for a quick visit to another planet, another galaxy, how about a quicky to 7-11 for a late night slushy? Or, like a lot of us…do we just change the clock and go to sleep?
Whatever your decision will be……
The time to do it is:

For those of you who like coffee, or drinks like that…There is a great place to drink… coffee. I’ve been going in there, off and on, for years. Robin has a terrific business going on South Hill, the Endicott Coffee Bar. It’s across the street from the new Safeway on Meridian, just south of the movies. You’ve seen it! It has a sign out front… 16 oz drinks for $2.00. Now, I ask you….how do you beat that??? I know your next question, does she have punchcards??? Yes, she has punch cards. So, drop buy, get a well priced cup of coffee and tell her, Dennis sent you!!
Don’t forget, the last part is important. Say: DENNIS SENT ME!!
The pictures at the top: Robin and her store.

Halloween is sneaking up on us SO fast! I’ve found some places that have Pumpkins, Mazes, Hay rides and even Pony rides. There are lots of places all over several counties.
The pictures above are of Spooner Farms and Sholz Farms. Both are on the Orting Highway, south of SR410. These farms I notice because I go by there.
There are lots of other places near where you are……..To find one near you, go to this Website:
www.pumpkinpatchesandmore.org/WApumpkins.php
So… go buy a pumpkin and take a tour through a maze. But, watch out for those Goblins!!
