Puyallup Mom Sends Gifts to Troops in Iraq

Troops from the present.

Mom and Marine

It started out simple. She just sent her son some cookies, a toothbrush, dental floss, candy bars and such. Her son emailed her back: Can you please send some more? So, she did. His buddies in Iraq wanted to share. So, she sent more. Then an Idea hit her! Maybe if she got some help, she could actually make a big difference. Now it’s called: Support America’s Armed Forces. They are having an event  on November 24th, 10:00-3:00 at Top Foods, South Hill Puyallup. You can find more information about it and how you can help online at:

There are a lot of our kids, friends and loved ones in that little corner of the world. Some of us don’t even know exactly where our loved ones are.

Well boys and girls, I’ve been in one of those places. Some days you get mail, but it’s never enough. You miss home. Some days you’re so scared you want to find a bunker and stay in it. When you get anything from home….It’s cherished.

So, the point is: If there is any way you, your friends at work or just somebody you run into……If we can find a way to send a little something to these people. These guardians of our way of life. Let’s show them that we understand the words……Freedom isn’t Free!!

I don’t care if you are for the war or against it. These people are over there protecting us, to keep as many terrorists as possible out of our hometowns!

Say Thank You…….Send them something.
