Skokomish River Flooding Farms
The above picture is taken from the Skokomish River Bridge on Hwy 101.

This picture is take from the farmer’s side of the Skokomish River.
While on my day trip, I took some pictures of the flooding between Shelton and Hoodsport. Specifically the Skokomish River shown here in the picture. Not that we go traveling Hwy 101 a lot. It just pays to be prudent.
There are quite a few people with land underwater now.
My point is, we all have a danger to be aware of. It doesn’t matter if you live close to the Skokomish River, the Puyallup River or the Skagit River. The weather, this coming winter, has been predicted to be a little harsh. So get your emergency kits prepared, put your boots and spare raincoat in your car, get the lanterns and flashlights ready. If you have a home or property and live in the lowlands, you just might get wet!
A long time ago, my Scoutmaster taught me: “Be Prepared”.
It was a good idea then, it still might be………
