What is it exactly that is so mystifying about Leap Year?
Is it just because it only comes up every 4 years? Or is it because it’s like Halloween….no one seems to know much about it, so we are confused?
I wonder if we bought a home today, could we make our house payment due on February 29th? Would that cause a ruckus?

This is the scale model of the new Patient Care Tower in Puyallup.
Good Samaritan highlighted the largest expansion East Pierce County has seen with a site celebration. Under the big tent on the corner of 15th Avenue and 4th Street SE in Puyallup, Good Samaritan designated the land where the $400 million Patient Care Tower will be constructed.
City leaders, dignitaries, community members and media attended the event and had the first look at a scale model of the new tower.

I get this stuff all the time. I am wearing out my shredder!!!
I just heard about this website that the Consumer Credit Reporting Companies(Experian, Equifax, Innovis and TransUnion) have for us to Opt Out. That means, after a while, some of the junk mailers will quit sending us the preapproved credit card junk!!!
I know what you are thinking…..what if it’s a scam and then they have our Social Security numbers, our dates of births!
Well, they won’t guarantee it, but they can usually opt us out without these numbers.

Don’t do it just because I said so…..
Heck, if you jumped the bridge, so would I!
I want to see what’s down there……….
Now, this is not just for Puyallup and you don’t have to own Real Estate.

Terrific Rambler for sale in Yelm.
A study out now on the nahb website(National Association of Home Builders) can tell you, in the general area, how long your appliances in your home might last.
This, is of course, subject to how much abuse you put your home through.
For Instance…Countertops-about 20 years. Dryers and Refrigerators-13 years. A gas range-15 years.
You get the idea, homebuilders, lenders, Realtors are not going to say these things because we don’t know how you will use them.
So don’t ask Dennis Endres, your favorite Realtor. I can’t help you with that answer. I can help you with all your other Real Estate needs. Just not that one.
But the NAHB might give you some ideas.

It’s still cold outside. Some people are still burning anything they can to stay warm.
Fires start too easily sometimes. I had a kitchen fire at my home 25 years ago. I think back and it still scares the you know what ….well it still scares me!! We didn’t make the mistake of putting water on it. We took a little too long getting the pan lid on the pan. We had no baking soda nearby, no fire extinguisher close by. We had burned hands trying to reach the pan.
Being in the business of Real Estate, you’d think I would know better. My fire extinguisher, NOW, is only 6 feet away from the stove.
We ended up with a lot of smoke damage and new cabinets, stove and microwave. What a pain to clean all that up. We had a professional come in. It took him several days and several thousand dollars.
So, I have a website that has some do’s and don’ts for you to check out. If you want to call your local fire department, they will be happy to send you information as well.
Puyallup Fire or Pierce County Fire….whichever, just call!! If you drop by, they usually have some stickers for you or the kids.

The drivers of this car might get a police officer’s attention.
I just heard that 32 officers from 15 agencies in Pierce County will be concentrating on speeders and DUI’s this weekend. Not that we should be speeding or driving while under the influence….but if you sometimes don’t pay enough attention….You better PAY ATTENTION this weekend. These agencies have found some GRANT money to have extra officers on the street.
So, you better watch your driving this weekend. We don’t want anyone to get hurt and we don’t anyone to get in an accident!!
