This is the view from Ellis’ deck. Across the way is Orcas Island. Way, way out there is the ski run outside of Victoria. We could see the lights from the ski lifts.
I have a friend who just happens to own a place in Friday Harbor. I wangled an invitation to do some Kayaking this weekend. I learned quite a bit about this Island, some of the history, about the Real Estate prices and what do these people do here?
There were 2 armies occupying the Island in the 1850’s. The British and the Americans. Someone shot someone else’s pig and almost started a war. The Pig War. A few years later an International court said the Island belonged to the USA.
Below, I have a few pictures of me, my friend Ellis and the Kayak adventure on San Juan Island. Somewhere around Roche Harbor, Henry Island and Posey Island.
More pictures to be published at a later date.

The ferry pulled into Friday Harbor.

Roche Harbor where we launched the Kayaks. A little to the left is Henry Island.

That is Henry Island behind Ellis, taking a picture of me, taking a picture of him.

A private home on the very tip of Henry Island.

Posey Island, a Washington State Park.

My brother would say they named this boat after me. He calls me the smart one in the family. Scary, huh??

Downtown Roche Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington. Get a great burger here.

Roy’s Espresso. Small place, great coffee, near the Ferry dock at Friday Harbor.
More pictures coming soon.
Thank you for joining me on my weekend getaway!!!

This is Rory Dunn before ……
Rory Dunn has done all of us a huge favor. He was in Iraq sacrificing his life so we don’t have to. He came very close to giving his life for his country.
I am including a picture of Rory, before the bomb. If you are strong enough to see the after pictures, you will have to email me….I won’t print them here. It’s too graphic for most folks.

I know a lot of people are talking about a Recession. I was just at an Economic Forecast for 2008, put on by Frontier Bank.
The facts are, for our area of the Pacific Northwest, we are doing just fine.
People have been and are still flocking to Washington. We have the aerospace booming. Manufacturing employment is rising. Software publishing is high. The population here is growing faster than the National average. Payroll employment in the State of Washington is at an all time high.
I know what you are thinking…. Dennis, we still cannot sell our home in Puyallup for what we need to buy a new one. That may be true. I have been telling you all along….Real Estate is my business. Keep your home as a rental and buy another one. Keep both for a couple years and sell one home then!!
Below I have some pictures of Commercial buildings going up everywhere….So, how bad can the economy be?? Does somebody know something we don’t??
Maybe…..Take a look at these buildings going up!

New building going up by Pierce College in Puyallup.

Commercial Building wants tenants.

Downtown Puyallup has new construction going in.

My favorite Health food store, South Hill Puyallup, behind Border’s books. Call Robin or Jerri at 253 845-5455
Do you notice your hands getting rough and cracked in the winter? Fingers splitting, maybe even bleeding? Do you have dry spots elsewhere like I do. Every winter I get a couple dry spots on my side and quite itchy. In the spring it goes away. You are right. I am a Realtor and that means I’m outside a lot, looking at property, showing homes and yards. Could that be it?
While visiting my daughter(massage therapist and esthetician) in Spokane, she turned me onto “Emu Oil”. One time application to my hands and it feels better. I admit, I don’t know much about this except it feels better. She says that the oil actually gets into the skin instead of just laying on the surface. I’m guessing this is good.
Well, I ask my friend Robin, manager of “Your Health” on South Hill Puyallup, about Emu Oil. She says it’s good and try this bottle. So, I’ve used it on my hands 3 times and they feel totally better. My side bothers me less. I’m almost ecstatic.
Don’t get me wrong, I will keep using the product all winter but it does feel better.
Try it, you might like it!!
I found more infomation on the web. Click Here for more information!
Just bringing you news as I see it……….

Hello all you folks out there in Puyallup land….
Is anyone but me, tired of pushing 1, then pushing 2, getting almost a human, then pushing 3…..only to get a recording that they have left for the day. Try back on Monday, because we are closed tomorrow for the holiday. Well now there is an alternative, they say! Supposedly, this website is constantly updating, redialing, changing to get us a real person.
Of course, there will be those days….but, try it!! Maybe it’s better than sitting on hold forever.
To try this system, Click Here!!
Please keep in mind, I didn’t invent this, so don’t kill the messenger.
Thank you for tuning in!

Ezra Meeker was one of the first settlers in our area. He is remembered as a founder and started the city, from a farm along the river.
I have taken a few pictures from around town to remind us. To this day, a lot of us Puyallup residents, take his name for granted.
As you can see, we have his name all around our fair city:

We see his statue in Pioneer Park.

We have a building with his name, housing a Real Estate Company. Keller Williams and the office of Dennis Endres.

This is the Meeker’s home, now restored and open to public viewing.

This Historic site in downtown Puyallup, drop in, it opens next month.

Who is this out in Ezra’s front yard? Getting ready to work the fields??
I have more pictures to show you……
So, keep tuned in and I’ll share some more of our heritage!!!

I had a little trip to make this last weekend. It’s time to take a break from the Real Estate world and take my granddaughter home to Spokane. You remember her. I’ve had her picture here on the website before.
Well, first they close Snoqualmie Pass on us, after we have waited 2 hours for to open, it’s delayed further. This leads us to Stevens Pass. You might call this the long way. So I took some pictures along the way.
You think we got an uncomfortable amount of snow here in Puyallup?? Take a look at some of the pictures of the snow and cold, from Stevens Pass to Spokane(Snowkane).
It’s a little difficult to take a great picture with so much snow everywhere….but here goes!

Stevens Pass… A little bit of snow, don’t you think???

This is a little candy store in Tumwater Canyon, just upriver from Leavenworth, Wa.

This the Wenatchee River(frozen over) taken from the Alps parking lot.

Snow and ice from my daughter’s home, outside Spokane.

Snowed in farm in Pine Valley, outside Spokane.

Too bad the farmers can’t sell the snow, while the wheat is sleeping.
I’m glad you could join me on my trip………..If you have any questions about buying or selling some snow….or just some Real Estate, Call Dennis Endres Today.
