Sea Kayaking and a Puyallup Realtor

As you can tell by the picture, I was with a lot of kayakers on Sunday.

A good photo tells a story. Lots of people, lots of kayaks and a good amount of sun.

This picture is to the left of picture above. Kayaks, people, sun and water.
I had a chance to go the the Sea Kayaking Symposium this last weekend. It was awesome. I got to try out some different Kayaks. I took several kayaks for a spin around the sound. Short spin actually. Some didn’t fit me as well as others.
They had short ones, long ones, narrow ones and wide ones. I fit into the wide and fairly long type. I am not an experienced kayaker, so I need more stability. I found some that were pretty stable, at least for me. We met a lot of different people and all different styles of kayaking.
If anyone has any ideas or things that I should consider about this sport, I would appreciate a comment or emailĀ from you. I have not bought anything as yet. I want to try a few before I get in too deep. We met a few people who do trips, but I don’t know enough to say I want to take a very long trip.
This is Dennis Endres, your local friendly Realtor/Associate BrokerĀ at Keller Williams, asking for a little information from someone who can give me more options.
The little bit of kayaking I have done is so much fun, it makes me want more!!!!

That looks great…I wish I would have known about it. My wife and I got Pelican kayaks from the Sports Warehouse in Fife. We love them. Cheap (under $500), light (we can both easily carry our own), and very stable. Nothing fancy about them, but perfect for novices such as us.
