This one of the CFL Bulbs that we need to be careful with…or get used to mercury.
I just read an article in the newspaper about the Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs(CFL). Apparantly they have mercury in them and we shouldn’t be putting them in the garbage. There are places you can take them(for FREE) to dispose of them.

The trees in front of my office are turning fall colors. Did I blink and miss summer? This could bum me out if I let it. Oh well, fall is very nice too!!!
Besides, that means winter is coming and I know a lot of you look forward to skiing season. There is nothing neater than to look out the window, sitting next to the fireplace and watch the snowfall……unless you have to go somewhere!

It’s always great seeing the “Colors” out and proud!
We have all seen this guy before….Yes, it’s Dennis Endres. Camera at the ready.
I guess some are not as excited as others. You can tell who she belongs to though!!
This is what it comes down to people…..Soldier, husband, father, friend, hero….headed off to Iraq or Afganistan to defend us here at home. I sat with a soldier yesterday who is headed off tomorrow for his 3rd tour. Do you think he loves his country???
We had a great little party yesterday to send off our troops to the far east. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and even some chocolate ice cream. Some of you know about me and chocolate. It was an honor to be there. We had Senators, we had City officials, a lot of veterans showed up to say Thank You to the departing troops….and Oh, by the way, Keep your head down!!! The schedule says they will be leaving tomorrow from McChord.
Vicky Mohler(from SupportAmericasArmedForce.com) and I took quite a few pictures of the event. Please enjoy the photos.

Residential Sales volume: off 45%
Residential Transactions: off 42%
Mobile home sales on land: off 63%
Plexes (2-5 units) Sales: off 57%
Land sales: decreased 65%
Average Residence: $296,302 off 5%

First frame of wave… second frame of wave…
Third frame of wave coming at us.
My wife and I took off a few days and spent time on the Oregon coast. Almost anywhere on the middle coast is going to be awesome.Seaside to Florence… sand, dunes, ocean, beaches, watching people get stuck driving on the beach. LOL
I’ve shown you some pictures I took while we were there. I hope you enjoy them and encourage you to take a couple days off work and GO!

Kieran and Chuck at the Best Western last night.
Dave with the Emergency Food Network. They help over 70 Food Banks in the area.
For most of these people here….This is their Last Supper.
This the Red Team. I am sure they are devising a plan to beat the other teams!!
This is where the people signed up to get their T-Shirts and water bottles.
Kieran says this is the brains of the outfit…Sherri, his wife. That’s Nick, their son, sucking up trying to get one of those free movie tickets that Sherri’s holding.
Fit for a Cause 1 was very successful. A group a 30 people lost almost 800 pounds.
Kierans List and Calloway Fitness are making a difference in Puyallup and Pierce County. They have teamed up and found a bunch of sponsors to help fight obesity.
A byproduct is that there is going to be a bunch of money donated to Local Charities. One of them the Emergency Food Network….Food Banks are at an all time low. More people losing jobs and fighting hunger.
The second one is The Daffodil Festival Parade. It has been going strong for 75 years. This year they are short a huge amount of money. Without some donations, there will not be a Daffodil Parade in 2009. These people intend to rectify that problem.

My wife and I, after dinner at Tidal Raves Restaurant.
This is the view while we were eating dinner at Tidal Raves.
While I was in Oregon taking a couple days off, we ate at this incredible restaurant in Depoe Bay. Great food, beautiful view of the ocean, whales watching us eat, WOW! If you are ever in the area….remember to call, because it’s almost impossible to walk in without a reservation.
The name is “Tidal Raves,” in Depoe Bay. A rocks throw from the ocean with the best views. Just in case, the phone # is 541-765-2995.
Tell them your local favorite Downtown Puyallup Realtor, Dennis Endres, sent you. We eat there at least once, every time we go down to the ocean.
