This is what it comes down to people…..Soldier, husband, father, friend, hero….headed off to Iraq or Afganistan to defend us here at home. I sat with a soldier yesterday who is headed off tomorrow for his 3rd tour. Do you think he loves his country???
We had a great little party yesterday to send off our troops to the far east. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and even some chocolate ice cream. Some of you know about me and chocolate. It was an honor to be there. We had Senators, we had City officials, a lot of veterans showed up to say Thank You to the departing troops….and Oh, by the way, Keep your head down!!! The schedule says they will be leaving tomorrow from McChord.
