Coffee in Puyallup

Posted by dennis endres No Comments »

For those of you who like coffee, or drinks like that…There is a great place to drink… coffee. I’ve been going in there, off and on, for years. Robin has a terrific business going on South Hill, the Endicott Coffee Bar. It’s across the street from the new Safeway on Meridian, just south of the movies. You’ve seen it! It has a sign out front… 16 oz drinks for $2.00.  Now, I ask you….how do you beat that??? I know your next question, does she have punchcards??? Yes, she has punch cards. So, drop buy, get a well priced cup of coffee and tell her, Dennis sent you!!

Don’t forget, the last part is important. Say:  DENNIS SENT ME!!

Pumpkins In Puyallup

Posted by dennis endres 1 Comment »

Halloween is sneaking up on us SO fast! I’ve found some places that have Pumpkins, Mazes, Hay rides and even Pony rides. There are lots of places all over several counties.

The pictures above are of Spooner Farms and Sholz Farms. Both are on the Orting Highway, south of SR410. These farms I notice because I go by there.

There are lots of other places near where you are……..To find one near you, go to this Website:

So… go buy a pumpkin and take a tour through a maze. But, watch out for those Goblins!!

Puyallup Roads and Transit

Posted by dennis endres No Comments »

I am writing to you today to consider Roads and Transit for a minute. If you are a person that travels on the roads and highways,  takes the bus or the train….consider the Bill up for vote. This would help some of the congestion on our major roadways.

I would not try to persuade to vote either way, but, this is America…GO VOTE!!

For more information on this topic go to this website:                                               www.YesOnRoadsAndTransit.org

There is a lot of input about the projects.  Please: take a look!!

Puyallup and Pierce County Real Estate Statistics

Posted by dennis endres 1 Comment »

Everyone knows that the Real Estate market is in a slump. But, it’s just like baseball….tomorrow, next week, next month, sometime soon, we’ll be hitting Home Runs again.  This is what I tell people: Homes are just like stocks….Buy low/sell high.

Right now….Homes are low!! Buy a house!  Don’t sell now, but hold until next year. Things will be better and you won’t take a beating selling your home.

On that note….Here are some statistics for Pierce County, courtesy of Commonwealth Land Title.

Year-to-date August 2007

All Sales (vs. Year to date 2006)

Residential Sales Volume: off 20% to $3.4 billion

Residential transactions: off 24% with 10,759

Mobile home sales on land: off 3% to $132 million

Plexes (2-5 units) sales: off 25% to $97 million

Land sales: decreased 44% to $320 million

Commercial volume: off 7% to $662 million

Average residence: $311,912 up 6%

Now you are going to ask me:  Dennis! With you having 13 years of experience in Real Estate, having a Real Estate Broker’s license, being a State Licensed Real Estate Instructor at Keller Williams Realty…..How can we have all these negative numbers and still have the average price of homes going UP???  Don’t you think this is crazy??

The answer is not easy. Across the County there are some areas that have appreciated faster than others. More desirable areas.  New homes, for instance, have gone up 11%, with the average price now of $377,519. While there have been less homes sold, the price has gone up.

I have more statistics in my office if you care to call me for them!

Cougar Mountain Zoo

Posted by dennis endres No Comments »

If you haven’t been or heard of this zoo…. Check out a couple pictures that my friend Larry Cragun took. He wrote an article on his blog @ www.IssaquahUndressed.com

The baby Bengal on the left is a Golden Bengal…Taj. The one on the right is Almos and he is a White Bengal. You might remember that a grown up white bengal is what Siegfried and Roy use in their shows.

This Zoo has a lot of animals you don’t see just anywhere.  It’s just around the corner from Issaquah. The owners let Larry and his wife in the cages with the baby Bengal Tigers. WOW!!! Of course they are still babies…but still….

If you’d like to see more pictures or to get the link for the zoo…go to his website….

Restaurant Downtown Puyallup

Posted by dennis endres No Comments »

Some of you, may or may not,  know that there was a restaurant on East Main that was called the Hungry Goose. It was always full. They had a gift shop that took up a lot of space. That meant a lot less people could get in for lunch. If you weren’t there early….forget it.

Tim Hall has taken over, named it “HG Bistro”.  It’s not new, but is was recently done. He has revamped the interior. There is more space, it looks totaly different and inviting.  Check it out online at:   www.HGBistro.com

They have menus, hours, directions, etc.,  at the website.

For those of you who want to know how to get a free gift certificate for some dinner….Call me!!! I’ll fill you in on the procedure. It’s not through Tim at HGBistro….It’s through me, Dennis Endres, Keller Williams Realty, Associate Broker, Real Estate Agent,  Ambassador for the Puyallup/Sumner Chamber of Commerce, Blogger and All Around Nice Guy.

* ALL THE COMPLAINING about our government because it means we have freedom of speech.

* MY LARGE HEATING BILL because it means I am warm.

* THE LADY BEHIND ME in church who sings off-key because it means I can hear.

*THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF early in the morning because it means I am alive.

Rain, Rain, Rain…

Posted by dennis endres 1 Comment »

So….What happened to our summer?? Like the famous song says…Is this all there is? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind the rain so much. I like that I don’t have to sprinkle my lawn every night. Some people hate the rain, because they can’t take the boat out or play baseball, or go to the beach. Well, here’s what I think: On a sunny day…Call in sick, take a vacation day, make an excuse…..Whatever, take the day off. Go do something fun! We don’t have that many chances. So…to copy Nike, Just Go Do It!!! You, and the people around you, will be better off.
