Lighthouse near Port Townsend.

Port Townsend Federal Building high on the hill above the ferry dock.

People sailing, having fun in the sun… not even noticing the snow on the mountains.

Picture of Kayak Instructor telling everyone how much fun it is Kayaking on the Beach. I believe what he meant was how much fun it is “In the water!!”
What a beautiful weekend recently on Puget Sound. Riding in the boat, having fun in the Sun. I got to see where “Officer and a Gentleman” was filmed. The barracks, the hotel where they went to play. Then we went to do some kayaking as well.
I know sometimes I look like I am all work and no play….but, I get out once in a while. Especially when it involves water, I can go do almost anything. I brought back a few pictures of Port Townsend and surrounding land and sea for you.
Yes, it’s me, your favorite Puyallup Realtor, Dennis Endres, bringing lots of pictures for you to enjoy.

Picture of a great little home.
It seems like there are always homes to go see on the weekends. Here are the homes that are open for this weekend as of Friday….As reported to the NWMLS computer. Some homes are downtown, some are up on South Hill Puyallup.
Be careful what you see in the news. The media has to have something to sensationalize….or no one will watch. Have you ever noticed all the bad news they show us?? How little they report of the good stuff????

Kidstown International

Chuck Valley from Puyallup, Wa and a very special friend, in Romania.

More children that Chuck and his group help.
Kidstown International is a group of special people, here at home and abroad, helping orphans in Romania, India and Nepal. It’s a tough life there. A friend of mine, here in Puyallup, is very deeply involved. He sponsors and helps others in our community to help as well.
Chuck Valley, local businessman, has been helping this cause for quite a while now. Some of us have not even heard of this organization…Yet he has been overseas, giving what he can.

Remember: The Fair is on before you go out in your car!! The streets anywhere around the fair, clear up to the Mall will be at least partially clogged. Shortcuts?? Try Fruitland, Shaw Rd., even Woodland. Meridian and 94th are spelling big trouble in the afternoons and evening. Once you get there….where do you park?? My suggestion….Pay the $10, so you don’t have to walk to EGYPT!! Well………Have fun at The Fair!
Remember the web address for the fair….www.thefair.com

I really don’t think of it as a vacation. I just want to get away for a few days. Let my mind wander. Walk on the beach. Think about… how is it that all these crabs come to the beach to die?? Or, something else to take my mind away. I have always wanted to take a helicopter ride up and down the beach at Seaside and Cannon Beach. As it turns, out you can take a short ride for only $35.00. So I took a ride, took some pictures, some of them are here for your entertainment. It’s really not scary like some would think. The pilot kept us occupied with who did what and when, so it took our mind off the fact that we’re 2500 feet above the ground. I think I want to do this again….Fly I mean!!! It was so much fun.

Wherever we go…There is always a huge crowd for fireworks. The display on Lake Union is always incredible. Did anyone catch the fact that Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones(a British Band) sang “Start me up!” along with the fireworks??? A Brit helping us celebrate independence from Britain over 230 years ago. Who’d have thought?? I love the Chinook helicopter flying that giant flag around the lake. The cheers when it flies by. I feel the tightness in my throat when it goes by me.
I find that I’m looking forward to next 4th of July……

All of us know someone who life has been affected by Cancer.
There are things we can do to help in the fight.
Some of those things are tough to do, i.e….Convince your daughter she needs to quit smoking,
Quit smoking ourselves, Have surgery when it’s imminent that we have the surgery, Stand by your friend/relative when there is little hope.
I know these things because that is my history with my friends and family.
I can tell you something that’s very easy to do….Send a few dollars to Relay For Life of Puyallup, Come walk with us, Tell your friends and family to come walk with us, Get involved and encourage some one else to send more than a few dollars.
Any help is great help. If it’s still too fresh in your mind and you just want to talk before you can walk…..Call me. My friend left us last month. My Mother went 6 years ago this month. Sometimes it seems like last week. It’s tough today and it will be tough tomorrow. If you have ever been to Children’s Hospital, you know what I mean. Check out the website:
